Joseph John Hollewa, age 87 died Wednesday at his home in Warren. Mr. Hollewa was born Dec. 1, 1917 in Marstellar Pennsylvania to parents the late Vincent and Caroline Hollewa. Mr. Hollewa is survived by his wife Adesta "Ethel", and his children, Robena (Jack) Vance, Joseph Jr. (Sara) Hollewa, and Nancy (Frank) O'Connell. Grandchildren, Lesley, Stephanie, Joseph III, Lauren, Katie, Renee, and Kevin. Siblings, Frank, Helen, Rose, Ann, and Stanley. Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren. Mr. Hollewa served his country during World War II and received two Purple Heart Medals and many distinguished honors. After the war Mr. Hollewa worked for many years before retiring at an automotive supply company. Visitation for Mr. Hollewa will be Thursday November 17th, from 4-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at St. Clement Catholic Church with visitation begining at 9:30 am until the time of the funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Officiating the funeral Mass will be Rev. Fr. Michael Gawlowski. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
