Julia Marie Radom

Julia “Jill” Marie Radom of Warren passed away suddenly on May 22nd. The youngest of seven children, Jill grew up in St. Clair Shores, graduating from Lakeview HS. She began her career at Hudson’s Department Store, where she worked her way up into management. She remained there nearly 40 years in various capacities through multiple buyouts, transitioning to a Human Resources role until falling prey to downsizing. At the time of her passing, she was employed as a recruiter in Human Resources for Penske Corporation.

Jill was predeceased by her parents, Edmund and Rosalyn, and an older sister, Sally. She leaves behind her sisters Sue (John) Mellech, Terri(Lynn) Luffman and Peggy Radom, brothers Jeff (Mary) Radom and Roger Radom, Nieces Michelle, Dana, and Rozlynn, and nephews Darrin, Michael, Matthew and Benjamin.

Jill’s special interest was in classic cars. She owned a succession of muscle cars, most notably a ‘66 Olds Cutlass she nicknamed “Fastway”, attending and entering many car shows over the years, and could be counted on to be in attendance at the Woodward Cruise every year. She also had an affinity for water, and in warm weather months could often be found by her pool.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jill’s memory may be made to the American Red Cross.

Memorial visitation on Monday, June 3, from 2:00 PM until the Memorial service at 6:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr (at Masonic), Warren.
