Karen Becovic

Passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at the age of 69. She was the beloved companion of Rich Durica for over 15 beautiful years, a devoted mother to Dino (Jill) Becovic and Jennifer Fell, and a cherished grandmother to Abigail Becovic, Emma Becovic, and Krista Hoffner.

Karen was the sister of Nancy (Matthew Spencer) Dixie-Spencer and the late James “Jim” Brown. She was also a proud aunt to Amy (Nick) Brown, Brandon Dixie, and Holly (Rob) Krasniewski. She leaves behind many other loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and her beloved grand-dog, Kailey.

Born, November 19, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, to her loving parents the late Harry and the late Marilyn Brown, Karen lived a full and vibrant life. She found joy in the simple pleasures whether it was watching Judge Judy, reading, shopping on QVC, solving word search puzzles, or strolling through her neighborhood. She had a special love for the color purple. Karen will be remembered for her wit and the love she shared with those around her.

Visitation will take place Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 12:00pm until 4:00pm, with a 3:00pm service at D.S. Temrowski Funeral Home 30009 Hoover Rd., Warren, Michigan 48093.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Heart Association, or Gleaners.
