Kathleen Elizabeth Iezzi passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 65. She was born on January 5, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan, to her late parents, Daniel and Jacqueline Iezzi. Although her name was Kathleen, she was known to everyone by Kathy, to some by sassy, and to nieces and nephews as their Aunt Faffy, her favorite nickname.
Kathy was the beloved mother of Domonic Schavey (Emily Lochner) and the late Kristofer Bray. She was a dear sister to her many siblings and a loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and dear friends as well as her cherished dog, Kloe, who brought her companionship and love.
Kathy had a special gift for cooking and continued with the family tradition of her mother’s cooking. She truly enjoyed cooking for others and seeing them eat it, including all of the family dogs. When she was relaxing at home, Kathy enjoyed watching television, especially reality TV, cop and medical shows, and of course, her game shows too. Although, her favorite thing to watch was the NFL Lion’s play football as this made her feel close to her son Kristofer. She loved a Tom Cruise movie and soon shared this love with her son Domonic, they could never watch Top Gun enough times, they both had the “need for speed”. She also shared her love of Boxers with her son, Domonic. A video of a boxer on Facebook would always make her smile, she loved the socks on their paws and the silly personalities. Kathy loved to have special treats just from her to give the dogs, especially, Kloe. She even loved taking Kloe through the drive thru for pup cups and bacon. Kathy was a one-of-a-kind aunt who adored her nieces and nephews. She had a genuine interest in their lives, wanted to celebrate their accomplishments, and to make sure they knew she was proud of them. Kathy was full of jokes, fiery, and always had a witty remark. She will be truly and dearly missed.
