

Kathleen Patricia Romanchik, "Teenie," age 86 of Sterling Heights, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, surrounded by her family which was her greatest pride. She was born March 17, 1932 in Detroit, daughter of the late John and the late Angela (nee: Smith) Hall.Born and raised in Detroit, Teenie was blessed to grow up in a home that was filled with 6 other siblings. She possessed fond memories of her days attending nursing school at Detroit Mercy, and it was during this period of her life that she met her loving husband Mike who she married on August 21, 1954.Teenie enjoyed a long career as a surgical nurse while also raising her 6 beautiful children. Family was central to her life and she also valued her many longstanding friendships, including those developed in grade school, nursing school, as well as at her local parish. She will long be remembered by her community for her uplifting spirit, an engaging sense of humor, her quit wit, and those famous baked goods she often prepared. One way or the other,…Teenie was always leaving some of her "sweetness" behind. Teenie is survived by her husband, Mike and their children, Dan (Silvia Ruiz) Romanchik, John (Debbie) Romanchik, Annette (Joe) Witte, Brenda (Clemens Wittekind) Romanchik, Maureen (Joe Anderson) Romanchik, and Mike (Cathy) Romanchik. She was the loving grandmother of Angela, Kevin, Mary Beth (Sam) Polce, Rachel (Raymond) Love, David, Anna, Emily, Matt, Nicole (Rick) Kevwich, Katarina, Daniel, Kyle, Conner, Mikayla, Michael, Jacob, and great-grandmother of Jonathan, Caden, Rayna, Kiera, Mya, Kendra, and Michael. Cherished sister of Monsignor John Hall, Sister Margaret Hall, Marilyn Hendren, Leo (Sue) Hall, and treasured aunt to 11 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents John & Angela Hall, and siblings Agnes Kutyla and Allen Hall. Visitation for Kathleen will be held Thursday, December 6th from 3-9 pm, with a 7:30 pm Scripture Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. She will lie in state on Friday from 10:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Mark Catholic Church in Warren. Officiating the Funeral Liturgy will be Fr. Jack Baker.
