Kathy grew up in Hamtramck, surrounded by family and strong community ties. In 1974, she married the love of her life, Carl, and they shared 30 devoted years together until his passing in 2004. Their bond was a central part of Kathy’s life and remained close to her heart. Kathy worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for nearly 30 years, where she was known for her reliability and dedication. After retiring, she continued working in the deli department at Meijer, enjoying staying active and connected with people.
She was an avid shopper, had a deep love for her dogs, Princess and Jaxson, and was known for her laid-back, calm, and easygoing nature. Kathy brought joy to family gatherings, especially with her famous baked beans, a dish that became a cherished tradition at family parties.
Kathy will be remembered for her quiet strength, warm presence, and the simple, loving ways she cared for those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
