Kathryn Lou DuBay

Kathryn Lou DuBay, age 88 of Warren, Michigan, died March 8, 2014 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Kathryn was born January 23, 1926 in Linton, Indiana, daughter of the late Paul and Kathryn Wills. Kathryn was raised in Linton and graduated from Linton High School. Following her schooling, Kathryn moved to Michigan for employment, where she worked at the Eaton Corporation.Kathryn later met the love of her life, and married, Barton Dubay. The two settled in Harper Woods, Michigan and Mrs. DuBay began a career at Beacon Elementary School in Harper Woods. Kathryn loved all the children over the years while working in administration and the love was truly reciprocated. After many of the children were grown that had attended Beacon Elementary, they would still ask Mrs. DuBay's son, David how his mother was and how much they enjoyed her while in elementary school.Mr. and Mrs. DuBay retired to Clearwater, Florida and spent the following 12 years in Florida until the grandchildren came. Mrs. DuBay cherished her grandchildren so much that she and her husband moved back to Michigan to be closer to their family. Her whole life revolved around her family and children. Quiet time at home was spent reading or solving crossword puzzles. Also in her younger years, Mrs. DuBay was quite the seamstress.Kathryn was the beloved wife of the late Barton E. DuBay, and dear mother of David (Patricia) DuBay. Mrs. DuBay was the cherished grandmother of Kristen, and Michael DuBay. Visitation for Mrs. DuBay will be Tuesday, March 11th, from 5-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile). Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:30pm on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Officiating the services will be Reverend Fr.
