Born in Detroit, Michigan he was a 1980 graduate of Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Sterling Heights. Shortly after marrying Nancy McLean, he moved to Southern California where he worked as a Contractor and Project Manager.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife and partner of nearly 40 years, Nancy, along with their daughters Reese Weber (Derek Krzesinski) of Sacramento, California and Jacqueline Moreno (Corey) of Eugene, Oregon, and their sons Grant and Chase of Seattle, Washington. Kurt loved being a grandfather and is succeeded by his grandchildren Claire, Haydn, Rocco and Vincent. He was survived by his mother, Lorenzina Marhoff (LaPinta) who passed shortly thereafter, and preceded in death by his father John and brother, John Jr.
A Memorial Mass for Kurt and his mother Lorenzina will beheld Saturday, May 1st at 12:30pm at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 Twelve Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48088.
