
Ky’Moni Nassir Lavender was born into the loving arms of his family on August 2, 2026, and after one precious hour, peacefully passed away. Though his time on earth was brief, the love he brought into the hearts of those who awaited him will remain forever.
Ky’Moni was the cherished son of Sy’Yonna Smith and David Lavender. Dear brother of Jordan Lavender and Christian Lavender. He was a beloved grandson of Christopher Smith, LaToya Carter, Adriane Alexander, and LaKecia Turner. He was a dear nephew of Christopher Smith, and a treasured great-nephew of Angela Thompson and Brandon Smith. Ky’Moni was also the beloved godson of Alexis Brownlee.
Sometimes the smallest lives leave the deepest footprints. Ky’Moni’s time was measured not in years, but in the immeasurable love he inspired. He will forever be held in the hearts of his parents and family, who will carry his memory with them through every tomorrow.
Though they could only hold him for a little while, they will love him for a lifetime.
A Candle lighting Ceremony in cherished memory of Ky’Moni will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Joy Park, 24001 Henry B. Joy Blvd., Clinton Township, Michigan 48036. Family and friends are invited to gather together, light a candle, and honor the precious life of Ky’Moni Nassir Lavender.
