Lee "Marty" Goodwillie

Marty (L. Martin) Goodwillie, age 70, passed away after a brief illness on January 24, 2013 surrounded by members of his loving family. He was born on March 23, 1942 in Detroit, son of the late Duncan and the late Lois (nee: Marten) Goodwillie.Marty had retired after a long career with the Department of Housing & Urban Development in Detroit. He resided in Royal Oak for the majority of his life, having attended Shrine of the Little Flower High School and church.He is survived by his favorite niece, Janice (Glynn) Kirkley of Nacogdoches, Texas; half-sister, Jan (Dan) Bronson of Parker, Colorado; many cousins, and a large circle of wonderful and dear friends who will miss him, and his wit, greatly. Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Duncan & Lois Goodwillie; adoptive mother, Adele (Chwalek) Goodwillie; sister, Corinne Lund; and nephew, John.A Memorial for Marty will be held in Michigan at a later date to be announced.Arrangements were entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren.Memorial donations are welcomed, in Marty's name, to the charitable foundation of your choice.Please share memories of Marty at his memory book.
