Leslie Louise Hood, age 67 of Sterling Heights, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 26, 1947 in Detroit to Franklin and Jean (nee: Robenson) Fortier.Leslie was employed in the Law profession as a Paralegal Secretary for many years, a career in which she took much pride. She always strove to do her best and excel at every task, which ultimately found her achieving the role as President of the Florida Paralegal Association. It was truly a position of honor and one which brought her immense joy amidst the challenges.Though her work called upon the better part of her strengths and ethics, Leslie surely knew how to balance things out in her personal life. When she wasn't working, free time would often mean a trip to either the Bingo Hall or a local casino. Whether with an empty Bingo card or the lever of a slot machine, Leslie knew how to give Ol' Lady Luck a run for her money,…in the hopes of breaking the bank, of course. She was also known for being a "neat freak,"…but it was really nothing more than her classy traits showing themselves to the world. Leslie was always cognizant of her appearance, especially in her line of work. When you're the President of an association, it's important to look the part.A loving mother and sister, Leslie leaves behind a legacy of love that is unique to the eclectic lady she was to the hearts and lives of many. She touched a multitude of souls along her pathway in life, and left an impact that will be warmly felt long after she's gone. May she rest in peace. Leslie was the beloved mother of Michael Browning and Garrick (Michelle) Browning. Loving sister of Douglas, David, and the late Dennis Fortier. Arrangements were entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren, Michigan. Please share memories of Leslie at her memory book.
