

Lolita was born on November 22, 1929 in Lubao, Pampanga, to the late Maximo Farjado and Encarnacion Macaspac. She was the eldest of eight siblings, her brothers are the late Bienvenido, Eduardo, Maximo, and the late Ernesto and her sisters are Aurora, the late Purificacion, the late Nenita and her half-sister Rizalina.
She pursued a career in teaching and dedicated herself to educating young children for several years the Philippines.
Eventually, she married Rodolfo Dorado, who was then serving in the military of the Philippines, on May 1st, 1959. She gave birth to five children, Abegail, Rhoda, Farley and the late Arnel and Bernie.
She had 8 grandchildren. Rafael, Michael, and Louise Anne, children of Arnel. Daniele Joshua, son of Bernie. Joshua Robert, Kayla Marie, and Angelina, children of Rhoda. Chelsea, daughter of Abegail.
On August 27, 1979, she lost her husband and eventually made plans to migrate to the United States of America. This plan came into being on March 14, 1985. She flew to the USA along with her three children: Abegail, Rhoda and Farley, leaving behind her two sons, Arnel and Bernie.
In the USA, she worked tirelessly in providing care to the elderly at St. Anne Nursing Home, St. John Bon Secours, Cottage Belmont Nursing Home and Mulvey Homes for several years to support her children in the Philippines.
In 2016, she decided to return to the Philippines and planned to spend the rest of her days there. True to what she always said- the Philippines will always be the home she loves.
However, in November of 2019, she went back to the US to celebrate her 90th birthday surrounded by her loved ones. In February 2020, she came back to the Philippines and stayed until April 2022 before she flew back to the US where she spent her last days with her children.
She was a mother whose love for her children and grandchildren never faltered and only kept growing through the years even as her speech and body failed her.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday June 3rd from 2pm-9pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. in Warren, MI. A funeral service will take place on Saturday June 4th at 10am, visiting begins at 9:30am, also at the funeral home.
