Loren was born and raised in Monroe, Michigan, where he embraced a life devoted to service, love, and passion. At a young age, Loren's sense of duty and patriotism led him to enlist in the United States Army, where he served with honor and distinction for three years. His dedication to his country was unwavering, and his service was a testament to his deep-seated love for his homeland.
Following his military service, Loren pursued his academic ambitions, graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Horticulture. His love for the natural world and his green thumb guided him to a fulfilling career as a buyer for Frank's Nursery and English Gardens, where he shared his expertise and passion for plants with colleagues and customers alike.
Loren's greatest joy in life, however, was found in the loving companionship of his wife, Sandra. Together, they shared 68 years of unwavering love, support, and cherished memories. Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love and partnership.
An avid outdoorsman, Loren found solace and joy in nature's embrace. Whether casting a line into the tranquil waters, stalking game in the woods, or tending to his beloved garden, he found peace and fulfillment in the great outdoors. His enthusiasm for fishing, hunting, and gardening was infectious, and he shared his passion with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will endure for generations to come. Loren’s kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering patriotism touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving his mark on the hearts of many.
Loren was the beloved husband of the late Sandra. Loving father of Cindy (Ron) Venditti, Lee Blum, Greg (Maryanne) Blum, and Jennifer (Marcel) Zughaib. Cherished grandfather of Joe, the late Michael, Hannah (Matthew), Nicholas, Sarah, Brent, Brielle, Andrew, Reagan, and Ellie. Adored great-grandfather of Vinny. Dear brother of Nancy Heiss. He was predeceased by his siblings Richard, Ruth, Mary Ann, Alan, and Jean Ann.
Visitation for Loren will be held on Monday, April 8th from 3-8pm with a Military Honors Service at 7pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI.
