Lottie B. Nadolski "Honey Girl," age 86 of Warren, died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at home. She was born December 28, 1922 in Detroit, the daughter of the late John and the late Helen (nee: Misczyak) Skowron. In telling the story of Lottie, the uppermost trait would definitely be her devotion to God. Lottie's faith was what her world centered around. From that flowed the strength, wisdom and care that made her the loving mother, grandmother and friend that everyone knew. Every day at 3pm, Lottie shared her devotion time with God, prayed the rosary, and faithfully remembered her loved ones. Her legacy of faith and love for Jesus will forever be the fabric that wove her family together. She was also the consummate Mom and Grandma who enjoyed many of the traditional things of life such as cooking, crocheting, and sewing. Lottie will also be remembered for her meticulous nature. Everything had to be folded just right, even the kleenex. But this attention to detail didn't stop with the home. Lottie was truly a woman of class and style who was "always done up" and dressed to the nines. She loved her jewelry and enjoyed showing it off. To the grandkids, she was known as "Bling, Bling Grandma," as well as "Mare" and "Bushie." In her younger years, Lottie enjoyed many types of entertainment and recreation that included roller skating, ice skating, horseback riding, bowling, dancing and bingo. For her quiet times around the TV, she was an avid fan of the soap opera, "Days of Our Lives." And perhaps one of her greatest passions was in satisfying her sweet tooth with her favorite, those Dove Dark Chocolate candies. But there's no mistaking, the dearest and most precious aspect of her life was realized through her loved ones. She poured her heart into loving and caring for them, especially her babies, the grandchildren. They could always depend on her and she was the kind of person that you could talk to about anything. Her life left an imprint that will never be matched, nor forgotten. Beloved wife of the late Felix "Honey Boy." Dear mother of Carol (Kenneth) Kustarz, Judi Duszka, Nancy (Anthony) Elibri, Sherry (Larry) Conklin, and the late Sandra Nadolski. Loving grandmother of five; Scott (Michelle) Kustarz, Phil (Debbie) Perkowski, Jeff (Jana) Perkowski, Alana (Billy) Douveas, Jason (Jenni) Conklin, and the late Crystal Conklin, and great-grandmother of eight; Kadia, Thaddeus, Merrick, Matthew, Madison, Jeff, Joshua and Jacob. Sister of Raymond Skowron and the late John Skowron. Visitation for Lottie will be on Saturday from 5-9PM, and Sunday from 2-9PM, with a 7PM Rosary Service on Sunday, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd.) in Warren. Lottie will lie in state on Monday from 9AM until the time of Mass at 9:30AM at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Warren. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan. Please share memories of Lottie at her guest book.
