Lucinda Moore Mullins, age 99 of Warren. died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at home. She was born July 2, 1915 in Dickinson County, Virginia to George and Elizabeth Moore (nee Stanley). For a period in her life, Lucinda was part of the workforce and was employed in a local pharmacy where she ultimately attained the role of Manager. Yet the most important and precious managerial role she ever held was that of Homemaker and Mom, a position she exuded from the deepest recesses of her heart. And like most Mom's of her era, the kitchen was her domain and is where she performed some incredible magic. Along with her skills in the old art of canning and preserving foods, Lucinda's culinary prowess was both respected and enjoyed. If you left her table hungry, it was your own fault.Another pastime she enjoyed was dabbling in her garden and nurturing the soil with the utmost in tender-loving-care. The mastery of her hands was also realized in her skills as a seamstress, and she could sew just about anything. When it came time for simply sitting still and giving her hands a rest, you'd often find her in front of the television partaking in some of her favorite entertainment. Though she wasn't all that fond of much of what TV had to offer, Lucinda did enjoy many of the game show fare such as Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, The Price Is Right,…it really didn't matter, she loved them all. Lucinda will also be remembered for her deep & abiding faith, a woman who revered her Lord and now rests with Him in Heaven. She touched a multitude of hearts in her journey through life, and leaves a storehouse of memories for all to draw from who were blessed to know her. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally. Lucinda was the mother of Avery Mullins, Patty J. Mullins, Lois Prazuck and Sue Sputa. Grandmother of Gregory Mullins, Krista (Kelly) Mullins, David Prazuck, Teresa Prazuck, Michael (Kimberly) Sputa and Michele (Michael) Calvin.
