Marcia Sophie Wachlarz

Marcia Sophie Wachlarz age 66, a longtime resident of Warren died Monday January 4, 2013 at St. John Hospital in Detroit. Marcia was born December 27, 1946 in Detroit Michigan the daughter of the late Leonard Czubay and the late Mary (nee: Panikowski) Czubay.Marcia was raised in Detroit and graduated from Commerce High School. Following her schooling she went to work for U.S. Broach before becoming a "stay at home" mom to raise her two daughters. Later in life Marcia returned to the workforce as a sales warranty representative for RCA Corporation, and eventually went to work as a childcare worker in the Latchkey program for the Warren Consolidated Schools, where she worked for over ten years at Pear Lean Elementary School.When Mrs. Wachlarz was not busy working she stayed active for over 40 years with the Macomb County Mother's of Twins Club. She was very proud of her twin daughters and further proud of her grandchildren. She cherished her time spent with her family and also enjoyed cooking Polish meals for them. Mrs. Wachlarz's most prized possessions were her daughters and grandchildren, followed by her beloved dogs.Mrs. Wachlarz is survived by her beloved husband Edward, and her dear children Amy (Jeff) Bennett, and Sharie Vilk (Jeff Russo). She is also the loving grandmother of Madeline, Dylan, Olivia, Ryan, and cherished sister of Christina Czubay. Visitation for Marcia will be held Thursday from 3-9 p.m. at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 1/2 Mile). Mrs. Wachlarz will lie in state on Friday at 12Noon at St. Louise Catholic Church in Warren, until the time of her Funeral Mass at 12:30pm. Please share memories of Marcia at her guest book.
