Marie Melvina Hasiak affectionately referred to by all as "Mello", age 87 of Warren, died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She was born July 9, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of the late John and the late Leona (Wozniak) Skowronek.Mello was employed by one of the world's most stringent bosses,...herself. You see,...even though work didn't call Mello from outside the house, it's what she did inside the house that set her apart. Mello was the consummate "homemaker" and took to heart all that it meant in retaining that highly regarded place in the family. She loved doing housework, but she definitely took it to an entirely different level. Not merely satisfied with keeping ahead of all the chores, keeping everyone fed and clothed, and running a tight ship from day-to-day,...her family reflects on how she had a penchant for rearranging the furniture. She loved to change things up and give it all a fresh look from time to time, and she was truly the master of bringing "style" into her home. She poured the best parts of herself into caring for her loved ones and their home environment,...but when the work was done, Mello certainly knew how to reward herself with a little fun and pleasurable escapes. Sometimes this meant dancing to the tunes of a wild & feisty Polka favorite, or on occasion it would mean a trip to the casino where she loved giving Ol' Lady Luck a run for her money. But truly, some of Mello's most precious memories in life were those quiet and cozy moments spent with a loved one or friend, sharing a cup of coffee while being immersed in a comfortable chat. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mello leaves quite an impact on the hearts and lives of all she touched and influenced with her deep and abiding love. Known for being extremely generous and caring, she always considered others more important than herself. She loved taking care of people, and possessed the heart and spirit for making a difference. Of course, there was nobody more cherished and precious to her than family,...and she leaves each of them a legacy of love to be shared among the generations with every memory retold. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally. Marie "Mello" was the beloved wife of the late Edward, and is the loving mother of Kathleen Witt, Edward Hasiak, Marvin Hasiak, and Raymond (Kathleen) Hasiak. She was the dear sister of Leonard Ochylski, and is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Marie will be held Tuesday, March 29th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd.) in Warren. Closing Prayers will take place on Wednesday, 10:30 am at the funeral home. Committal Services to be conducted on Wednesday, 11:00 am at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Please share memories of Marie at her memory book above.
