Marjorie G. Parent

Marjorie Gail Parent, age 87, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. She was born on a farm in Port Hope, MI to the late Clinton and the late Laurinda Kelley. For the first 80 years of her life, Marjorie went by her middle name "Gail." After moving into a new home, she decided she would like to be known as "Marge."

In 1975, tragedy struck, when Marge's husband Tom suffered cardiac arrest and was in a coma for 25 months, before ultimately passing away. Even though, her entire world was upheaved, she continued on, raising her three children on her own, in the most loving way. Following her husband, Tom's passing, Marjorie worked at the GM Tech Center for over 20 years.

Marge was a woman of great faith. She was a devout member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Roseville. Marjorie enjoyed participating in the McRest program through church, providing transportation for individuals in need.

Marge adored her family and, in turn, her family adored her. Family was everything to Marge. She will be deeply missed by everyone that had the privilege of knowing her.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas Parent; cherished mother of Susan (Robert) Machasic, the late Michael Parent, and Kimberly Padron; loving grandmother of Ryan, Thomas (Carly), Brad, Alex (Michael), Zack, and Anastasia (Jesse); and great-grandmother of Olivia and Nora.

A visitation for Marge will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a 6:00 PM Eulogy, at D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marge's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Please share a memory with the family in our online guest book.
