Mark E. Davis

Mark Edward Davis, age 26 a resident of Troy, died Thursday, May 05, 2011. Mark was born March 01, 1985 in Miami Beach, Florida the son of Edward G. Davis and Anne (nee: Ashton) Davis. Mark spent the first ten years of his life in Miami Florida where he cherished his Miami Dolpins... his affinity for the Dolphins never ceased even while living in Michigan. After moving to Michigan with his family Mark attended and graduated from the Troy Schools. During his youth Mark played football for the Troy Cowboys and also played little league in the Troy TBB system. Following high school he worked at several local restaurants as a cook, including Nikkis Pizza in Greektown. When Mark was not working playing poker was his passion. Mark was a very astute and savvy player who won most of the time and aspired to play in the World Poker Tour Championship. He also loved his time spent with family and his siblings. Mark was the beloved son of Ed and Anne Davis. He is the dear brother of Jaime, Mike, and Nick Davis. Mark was the cherished grandson of Edward (the late Eleanor) Davis, Bill & Penny Ashton, and Mary Armstrong. He is the great-grandson of Fred Ashton, and is also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Memorial visitation Tuesday 4-8pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Andrews officiating.
