Mary Ellen was the beloved wife of the late James Glynn, with whom she shared a lifetime of love that began as high school sweethearts growing up across the street from one another. Their bond remained unbreakable throughout the years. She was a loving mother to Kevin (Cathleen) Glynn and Steve Glynn, and a proud grandmother to Kristine and Joseph. She also cherished her loyal companion, Benny. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Dorothy, and her brother, Gerald.
A graduate of St. Martin High School in Detroit, Mary Ellen went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Mercy College of Detroit. She dedicated her professional life to working as a medical records administrator and coder. Mary Ellen had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing or camping in her camper, usually alongside Benny. She was a devoted fan of Detroit sports, especially the Lions and Tigers, and fittingly passed on Opening Day of the Tigers. She will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to her family, and the simple joys she found in life.
