Mary was raised in Detroit, where she built a life centered around family, hard work, and the people she loved most. She met the love of her life, Chris, at the bowling alley, where the two shared many happy memories together. Bowling remained something Mary always enjoyed, and this October they would have celebrated nearly 43 wonderful years of marriage.
Mary had a strong work ethic and spent many years working at Kowalski Deli and other local deli markets. Later, she began a career with State Farm, where she worked first as a secretary before becoming an insurance agent. Outside of work, Mary enjoyed spending time at the casino, going fishing, and tending to her garden. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and especially treasured time spent with her family. Above all else, Mary loved her grandchildren deeply. They were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.
Mary will be remembered for her warm heart, dedication to her family, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. She leaves behind countless cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Mary was the beloved wife of Christopher. Loving mother of Mark (Kathleen) Majeski, Pam Stuart, and Rebecca (Martin) Compton. Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Brian) Britten, Laura (Cory) Main, Keith (Monika) Compton, and Amanda (Jeff) Silverman. Adored great-grandmother of Alexis, Jordan, Madison, and Jace. Dear sister of the late Robert (the late Leora) Dascenzo. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
