Cherished wife of 30 years to Michael Schneider. Beloved mother of Thomas (Candice) Bookmiller, Paul (Natalie) Schneider, Matthew Bridgewater, Kaitlin (Kyle) Jenkins, Maranda (Bryan) Bialas, and Andrew Schneider. Proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren who brought immense joy and purpose to her life. Dear sister of Barbara (Denis) Shunta and Linda (Michael) Latham, and sister-in-law of Paula (John) Crank and Donna Spencer. She is also survived by her loving mother Carole, many nieces and nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and wonderful neighbors. She is preceded in death by her brother James Bookmiller.
Her happy place was the sunshine and sandy shores of St. Pete Beach, where she loved spending time soaking up the sun and shelling. She and Michael shared many wonderful memories traveling together, especially on cruises and through their journeys abroad to the Caribbean, France, and Germany. Her passion for family history led her on genealogy adventures that took her as far as England, and Canada, where she traced her ancestry and carefully documented her family’s story for future generations. Family traditions were especially important to her. She loved attending the Renaissance Fair, often camping with her family and delighting in dressing the children in period costumes, creating memories they would cherish forever. An exceptional baker, she was known for her holiday cookies and the special treats she lovingly made for Michael to share with his coworkers. She also possessed a remarkable green thumb and found great joy in gardening, always eager to plant something new and watch it flourish. She enjoyed relaxing with her favorite British television programs or a good book. She was famous throughout the neighborhood for her elaborate Halloween decorations. Every year she transformed her home into a festive attraction that neighbors and visitors eagerly anticipated. More than anything, she treasured her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her laughter, humor, and vibrant personality filled every room she entered. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel extraordinary and brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Always smiling, always joking, and always putting her heart into everything she did, she leaves behind a legacy of love, happiness, and countless treasured memories.
