As an avid outdoorsman, Matthew loved spending his time camping and enjoying nature with his family. Any excuse to get in the water he would take in a heart beat. Whether that be just sitting on the boat, sitting on the beach, riding jet skis, kayaking, or tubing, he would be there. At heart, he was a free spirit who was always up for anything. He was incredibly caring and accepting but always pushed the people he loved to do their best. As the family handyman everyone would come to him for help fixing just about anything. He never backed down from a challenge. Family was everything to him and friends of his were treated like family. Although, no one in his family was quite as spoiled as his beloved pit bull, Aspen.
After seven years together, his beloved wife Tonya Fisher preceded Matthew in death. He is the loving father of Danielle Marie Wilson and Jenna Marie Boussi. The cherished grandfather of Colton Mayes and Isaac Stromile. The devoted son of Lori (Tim Banks) Fisher and John (Claudia) Fisher. Treasured grandson of Robert (the late Barbera) Gignac and Joseph (the late Mary Ellen) Fisher. Dear brother of John, Christopher, Heather, Ken, Meagan, Krysten, and Kevin. The caring uncle of Daman, Shane, Mason, Arlo, Brooks, Colton, and Madyson.
