May Seguin (nee: Perrault), age 89, a longtime resident of Warren, enjoyed her final sunset Saturday, May 09, 2009, just two days shy of her 90th birthday, at home surrounded by her loving family. Sunrise for May began May 12, 1919 in Cobalt, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late George Perrault and the late Emma (nee: Matton) Perrault. May married Herve Seguin on April 26, 1941 in Windsor, Ontario and eventually moved to Detroit with her new husband to start a family. As children came, the family eventually moved to Ferndale where the Seguin family lived in a large 3 family flat bought by Mays father so the Perrault and Seguin families could live together. In 1958, the family moved again on to Warren. Mrs. Seguin would live in Warren for over 51 years. During Mrs. Seguins life, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. She traveled extensively in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Other hobbies included golfing and bowling with friends. May had a green thumb; her backyard garden was full of beautiful flowers and plants for everyones enjoyment. She was truly the leader and matriarch of the Seguin family who will be sorely missed. Mrs. Seguin was the beloved wife of the late Herve. She is the dearest mother of George (the late Sharon), Barbara (Bill) Rinke, Gerald (Faith), and Nancy Seguin (Dale) Morgan. Sister of Bertha (Wilbert) Stephens, and Norman (Pat) Perrault. Sister in-law of Betty (the late Lawrence) Perrault, and Kay (the late Gordon) Perrault. Mrs. Seguin is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Rita (Lawrence) Stone and Doris (Burt) Belanger. Visitation for Mrs. Seguin will be Saturday from 5-9 pm and Sunday 2-9 pm, with an evening Scripture Service at 7pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 Mile). Mrs. Seguin will lie in state Monday 10 a.m. at St. Sylvester Catholic Church until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Please share memories at May's guest book.
