Mel B. St. John, age 51 a resident of Oak Park for over 20 years, died Sunday, September 06, 2009 at his home. Mel was born December 12, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Melvin G. St. John and the late Lorraine (nee: Blarek) St. John. Mel enjoyed long bike rides with his daughters, traveling and eating at fine restaurants. Mel St. John is survived by his loving daughters Leah and Claire St. John. He was the beloved son of Melvin G. and the late Lorraine (nee: Blarek) St. John, and dear brother of Frank, Michele, Ginger, Russell, and the late Margo St. John. Also surviving is his former wife Cynthia Burdi. Visitation for Mel will be Thursday from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile).
