Michael James Kachman, aka Albert Leonard, of Warren, Michigan passed away at the age of 100 after a long and well-lived life. Born to immigrants in humble beginnings he worked his way up from a jewelry repair clerk at the fine jewelry store, Wright Kay, to diamond salesman, assistant manager, and finally the store manager of the prestigious Northland branch, becoming a certified gemologist.
He lost his beloved wife of 61 years, Rosemarie, in 2008 and was predeceased by his son-in-law, James Gatny. He is survived by his brother Donald Kachman (Donna), his five children Michael Kachman III (Carol Clark), Laurie Harkins (James), William Kachman (Judy MacLeod), Janette Gatny, and Lary Kachman (Michelle), two nieces Christine Streno (Michael), Debra Imbronone, nephew, Mark Imbronone, one great niece, eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
A century of love and dedication to family leaves an undeniable mark on those he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Visitation for Michael will be held on Friday September 5, 2026, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a 7:00pm Rosary at the D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI. He will lie In State on Saturday September 6, 2026, from 10:30am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 32000 Mound Road in Warren. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
