OBITUARY

Michael A. Lowry

December 3, 1957 – July 6, 2026
Obituary of Michael A. Lowry
IN THE CARE OF

A.H. Peters Funeral Home

Michael A. Lowry passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his daughters. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Robin, and his brother, Patrick Lowry.

Mike was the devoted father of Michele (Darrin) Moore and Katie (Rob) Urben, and the proud Papa of Haidyn, Chloe, Mina, and Andre. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Linda Lowry, many loving nieces and nephews, and his dear friends, David Riddell and Deb Seals.

A hardworking blue-collar man throughout his life, Mike dedicated much of his career to working as a machinist and also spent time as a supervisor with the Ford Motor Company. He took great pride in his work and carried a strong work ethic that earned the respect of those around him.

Mike found his greatest joys outdoors. Whether he was camping, fishing, boating, or exploring with his metal detector, he was happiest surrounded by nature. Belle Isle held a special place in his heart, and many cherished memories were made on and around its waters. An avid animal lover, Mike cared deeply for all creatures. He delighted in feeding the wildlife around his home and throughout his life shared a special bond with his beloved cats and dogs.

A loyal fan of Detroit sports, Mike enjoyed cheering on his hometown teams alongside family and friends. More than anything, he treasured time spent with those he loved. He made every birthday, holiday, and family gathering feel special, creating traditions and memories that will be cherished for generations. Known as the family's grill master right up until his final days, Mike loved bringing people together around good food, laughter, and conversation.

Though he was a large man in stature, Mike's heart was even bigger. He was kind, caring, hospitable, and welcoming to everyone he met. His generosity, warmth, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Mike's legacy lives on through the family he adored, the lives he touched, and the countless memories he leaves behind.

A Celebration of Mike's life will be hosted by the family; day and time to be announced.
