Mildred L. Ledbetter. age 88 of Warren, died Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren, Michigan. She was born on October 15, 1922 in Eldorado, Illinois, the daughter of the late William Lee and the late Mable Lorena (nee: Morehead) Mills. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother & friend, Mildreds life touched the hearts of many and she was the perfect exemplification of love to all. First, towards her Heavenly Father, followed by the loved ones she cherished so much. She was a devout woman of faith who took the words from the Bible to heart that admonishes; Consider others more important than yourself and Be imitators of Christ. Not only did she accomplish both, she did it with a humility and reverence that defined the Christian principles that guided her walk. She was extremely close to her Lord, a relationship that was built and nurtured from spending time with Him, while reading her Bible, each and every day. Mildreds faith and association with church were the foundation on which her life was centered. Even at the nursing home, she never missed a service. The call God placed in her heart was simple, yet His love that poured out of her was vast. In her own unique and special way, Mildred ministered to countless lives through the gifts that were bestowed upon her,and she was truly a blessing to all. Mildred also had a creative gift that was realized through her love of poetry. She shared that gift through works of her own, and was blessed to have some of her artistry published in the churchs newsletter at Woodside Baptist Church in Warren. Her life was a full one, speckled with many of the precious moments and memories that filled and warmed her heart & soul with each reflection. Most of those remembrances included the family members and friends who had become so dear over the years, and with whom she shared an immeasurable amount of laughter, fun, and happy times. The legacy of love she leaves behind will forever be a lamp to light the path of all who remember her tender-loving-care, and for whom she lifted up, prayerfully, before her Master. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally. She was the beloved wife of the late Tracy. Dear mother of Michael (Charlotte) Ledbetter and Andrea (Craig) Owen.
