Mildred Martin

Mildred was an incredibly talented seamstress and would sew dresses for her daughters to wear to church and even dresses for their dolls. Her artistic talents didn’t stop at sewing. She would knit Afghans, complete jigsaw puzzles and preserve them to hang up, and would relax with an adult coloring book. While the children were growing up, she would cook every single meal for the family. Over the years she has collected over a hundred dolls she would decorate the house with.

Mildred is the beloved wife of 52 years to the late Marvin Martin Sr. The loving mother of the late Donna (Bruce) Shelby, Sandra (Bruce) Taylor, and Marvin (Anna) Martin Jr. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Rick) Ross, Trisha (Rande) Kristiansen, Kristen (Michael) McIntyre, Shannon (Jacqeline) Shelby, Patrick Shelby, Rebecca (Stefany) Specht. Treasured great grandmother of 5, dear sister of Eugene (Sally) Cowan, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Memorial instate will take place on Saturday, September 30, from 11am until the time of the memorial service at 12pm, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren.
