Nancy E. Daniels

Nancy Edwina Daniels, 82, Harbour Point Drive, Port Orange, passed from this life to the next on June 8, 2007 at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach. Funeral services were held at the Port Orange chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes, 1201 Dunlawton Avenue, Port Orange, Florida 32127, on Tuesday June 12, 2007, at 3 pm with Reverend Bernie Davis officiating. Final interment will be Friday 10:00 AM, at Christian Memorial Cemetery, 521 East Hamlin Road, Rochester, Michigan 48307, with Reverend Thomas McCullough officiating. Nancy Daniels was born in Moss Point, Mississippi on February 8, 1925 as one of twelve sisters and brothers born to Rufus E. and Nancy Gresham Miles. Nancy moved to the Port Orange area over 30 years ago from Utica, Michigan. She is a former employee of Mars Candy Company working throughout the Daytona area and a Realtor for over 25 years throughout Volusia County. She attended Spruce Creek Baptist Church. Ms. Daniels passed after a long and difficult struggle from complications following heart bypass surgery earlier this year and will now be reunited with her husband, James R. Daniels, Sr., who passed from this life to the next in 1969. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia J. Norton, Williamsport, PA; two sons, James, Jr. of Daytona Beach Shores and Jerry Glenn of Warren, MI; a younger brother, Benny Miles of Daytona Beach; six grandchildren, Amy, John, Angie, Norman, Jim and MaryBeth; and six great grandchildren, Madelyn, Colin, Dylan, Graham, Sophia and Ellison.
