Pamela J. Flesher, age 60 of Harrison Township, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at home. She was born on May 23, 1953 in Highland Park, Michigan, daughter of Theodore and the late Lillian (nee: Mickowski) Wilk.Pamela was the type of woman who loved keeping herself busy. When it came to punching the time clock and answering the call of employers, her earlier years were spent working for the mouth-watering, Outback Steakhouse. More recently, Pamela decided to enter the automotive realm where she accepted a position at General Motors as a Skilled Laborer in their wind tunnel plant. A dedicated and hard-working employee though she was, Pamela would probably attest to the fact that she more enjoyed the work of her hands at home. When it came to being indoors, some of her finest magic was performed in the kitchen whipping up those baked goods that everyone loved so much. She could bake like nobody's business, and her sweet treats brought many-a-smile to countless faces over the years. One of those treats was, hands down, "The Whip!" Without question, Pam could produce the finest fudge around,…and Frankenmuth had nothing on this girl!!! Each bite of her fudge was a slice of "Chocolate Heaven,"…and left the partaker in Seventh Heaven. As for being outside, she loved planting flowers and working in the garden. There was just something about tending the soil, nurturing the gardens growth, and enjoying the beauty of the flowers that emerged that enriched her life and invoked a sense of well-being and care. And that care extended to the wildlife as well. She just couldn't ignore all those fuzzy-tailed critters that scampered through the yard looking to be fed,…and Pamela's Place was the best Squirrel Restaurant in town. The outdoors held even further interest for Pam as she so enjoyed the camping experiences she shared with numerous family and friends. For those who can relate to the joy and kinship that is prevalent throughout the various campgrounds in Michigan, then there's no mystery as to why Pamela so often sought to go campin'. She had an infectious personality and a warmth for her fellow man,…two traits that define just about every camper out there. And while she was out there getting back to nature, it wasn't rare to see her casting her line in the water in search of the "big one." Pamela loved to fish, and the quiet pleasures that accompanied the sport,…right up to the point of feeling that tug on the line,…then the excitement ensued and the quiet was replaced with shouts of victory!Yet of all the things she enjoyed the most, her greatest passion had nothing to do with "things,"…but those people near and dear to her heart, of which there were many. Spending those special moments with family and friends was what life was really about, and each moment was held precious and treasured to her. A life gone far too soon from our presence, Pamela's gift of love will be a present to unwrap with each reflection God affords. She is with Him now,…and is sure to be a Guardian Angel for us all. She will be missed immensely, and loved eternally.Pamela was the beloved wife of Steven. Loving daughter of Theodore (the late Lillian) Wilk. Dearest sister of Larry, Eric, and Laura. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation for Pamela will be held on Sunday, February 23rd from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. Her Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00am on Monday, February 24th at the funeral home.
