Patricia M. Hay

Patricia M. Hay, age 78 of Macomb Township, died Friday, September 23, 2011 at Medilodge Nursing Home of Sterling Heights. Patricia was born January 31, 1933, Marie Patricia Serocki in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Stanley Serocki and the late Marie (nee: Barbiera) Serocki. Patricia was raised in Detroit and graduated from Dominican Catholic High School, and later went on to graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Education from University of Detroit. Patricia taught grade school education for over 13 years first at St. Raymond Catholic School and later at St. Augustine.When Patricia was not working she enjoyed crafts' making wreaths, flower arranging, and also baking wonderful baked goods. She also kept her mind busy solving crossword puzzles, however her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow into adults.Mrs. Hay was the beloved wife of the late Franklin, and the dear mother of Jim (Cindy) Hay. She is also the loving grandmother of Ryan (Angelica), Caryn Hay, Bradley Hay, and the sister of James (Peggy) Serocki. Also surviving Patricia is her special niece Nicole (Ben) West, along with many other family members.Visitation for Mrs. Hay will be Sunday from 5-9 pm with a 7pm scripture service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd at Common (12 ' mile). Memorial donations appreciated to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org .
