Patricia Mary Martin

A proud veteran, Patricia served in the United States Air Force for six years. She was also a longtime and faithful member of Holy Innocents/St. Barnabas Catholic Church. More than anything, Patricia loved her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time together, whether on camping trips to Burt Lake in the family travel trailer, relaxing at their cabins near Alpena, or simply sitting around a campfire with Greg, their children, and eventually their grandchildren. She never missed a sunrise or sunset while camping, appreciating the beauty of each day and the memories made with those she loved.

Patricia also cherished traveling to Boston to visit family and making trips to New Hampshire to spend time with her cousins. At home, football Sundays were spent cheering on the Detroit Lions alongside Greg and the family.

The holidays were among Patricia's favorite traditions. As the family grew, celebrations became too large for one home, turning into a beloved holiday journey from house to house often beginning at Sarah's home, continuing to Judy's, and ending at Sandy's. Those gatherings were filled with laughter, love, and the closeness that Patricia helped create and preserve.

Patricia shared an especially close bond with her sister, Judy, who was not only her sister but also her best friend. Together they spent countless days shopping, crafting, and enjoying each other's company. Patricia was a familiar face at Walmart, always searching for crafting supplies or great deals. Nearly every shopping trip included a phone call home asking Greg or the kids, "Do you need anything?," a small gesture that perfectly reflected her giving nature.

A gifted crafter, Patricia was talented in embroidery and especially enjoyed creating beautiful "pretty punched" blankets. As a lifelong Disney fan, she lovingly made countless Disney-themed baby blankets that became treasured gifts for family and friends. More recently, she had begun learning to quilt and was excited to start her first large quilting project.

Patricia will be remembered not only for her many talents but for the way she made everyone around her feel valued and loved. She always placed the needs of others before her own and never hesitated to drop everything to lend a helping hand. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family and friends leave a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Loving wife of Greg for 38 years. Beloved mom of Jackie (Adam) DeVooght, Andy (Arthur) Martin, and Sarah (Nathan) Kaganac. Beloved Grandmother of Bellamae and Riley DeVooght, and joyfully anticipating the arrival of her third grandchild, Baby Kaganac, in January. Dear sister of Kathleen Foley, Daniel (Sandy) Foley, Thomas “Butch” Foley, Theresa “Sharon” Foley, the late Timothy Foley, and Judith (Ted) Meldrum. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Monday July 27th from 2pm until 8pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Visitation Tuesday, July 28th from 11am until time of Funeral Service at 12pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
