He played for the little league team before coaching and umpiring as well. He ran Cross Country for Catholic Central High School. He loved his Michigan sports teams, specifically the Lions and Michigan football, but was starting to get back into watching the Tigers. Music was important to Paul. He and Cindy would go to concerts all summer for any genre of music from classical to rap. Paul enjoyed going up north and he and Cindy especially loved the UP and Mackinac Island. Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus St Nicholas Council 7011. He had been a Knight for over 30 years. He held the position of Lecturer and Deputy Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was a hardworking man, proudly working for Allied Printing for 40 years.
