

Peter Paul Petty Paul age 80 died May 18, 2009 at Cranbrook Geriatric Village in Detroit. Paul was born in Wilpen, Pennsylvania the son of the late Michael Petty and the late Mary (nee: Fedorko) Petty. Mr. Petty moved with his family to Michigan and attended Detroit Public Schools before joining the United States Army to serve his country during World War II. After returning from the war, young Paul went to work for A.C. Sparkplugs. The factory job did not suite Paul well he was the consummate salesman and would eventually work for many local shoe retail stores before starting his own company Iconage Products Incorporated. Mr. Petty would travel to many arts and craft shows and also visit many malls selling his unique product. Paul enjoyed meeting many different people and later in life took it upon himself to motivate and inspire others from the trials and tribulations life throws at you. Always a person to take pride in his personal appearance, Paul never left his home without looking 100% with his hair perfectly coiffed. Paul also enjoyed his long drives and loved listening to Elvis Presley. Mr. Petty is the beloved father of Marty, Pam Petty, Gary, Marci (Don) Fogal, Jeff, Monica (Matt) Baker, Laura (Jim) Weakley, Lynn Petty, and Rodney Petty. Brother of Genevieve Pokriefka, and Mike (Kay) Petty. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Petty will be Thursday from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile). Funeral Services will be held Friday 11:30 am, at the funeral home.
