

Phyllis Louise Wolski age 92, died Thursday January 17, 2019 at the Brookdale Grand Blanc Assisted Living Facility in Holly, Michigan. Phyllis was born November 12, 1926 in Detroit Michigan the daughter of the late Thomas Doherty and the late Agnes (nee: Fasbender) Doherty.Phyllis was raised in Detroit and attended and later graduated from Assumption Grotto Catholic School. Following her schooling Phyllis worked for Spiegel's Department Store, first in Detroit and later at Tech Plaza in Warren, Michigan. As a young woman Phyllis met a handsome young man about to leave for military service during World War II... upon his return the young couple married and began a life together. Phyllis and her husband Anthony first lived with his parents to save money for the purchase of their own home. The young couple would eventually buy a home and settle in Warren where they raised two sons. Phyllis and her family were members of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.After working for many years Phyllis and her husband retired... however, never one to sit still, Phyllis continued working odd jobs for the activity and staying social. She cared deeply for others and also loved animals including birds, and cats. Her family and work were paramount in her life, but when Phyllis and her husband would get away it usually involved traveling and vacationing to different parts of Michigan.Over the years some of Phyllis' family members fondest memories included her wonderful baking, cooking, and fun family gatherings. They also remember how Phyllis loved animals and took great care tending to her garden and flowers.Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Wolski and was the dearest mother of Richard (Andrea) Wolski, the late Robert Wolski. She was the mother in-law of Yvette, and loving grandmother of Jennifer (Matt) Ply, Jessica (Jeff) Clement, Suzanne (Mike) Archer, Ryan Shutes, Sean Wolski, and great-grandmother of Anthony "AJ", Erin, Aaron, Emmy, Ellie, and Nick. Phyllis was the sister of the late Gerald Doherty, and the late Russell Doherty. Visitation for Mrs. Wolski will be held on Friday from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. Funeral Services will be held Friday evening at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
