

Rafik Mesleh, age 78, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026. He was born in Taybeh and lived in Warren, Michigan, for most of his life. Rafik was the beloved son of the late Sulieman and Habibeh Mesleh and was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sally, and his brother, Michael. He was the devoted and loving father of Christina Clark (Joe), Dianna Shorek (Josh), Rosanna Zerilli (Anthony), and Thaer Mesleh. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Alexis, Madeline, and Gracie Clark, and Anthony, Jack, and Teresa Zerilli. Rafik was a loving brother to George, Reyad, Raed, Rawaida, and Rawda, and was a cherished uncle and friend to many.
He proudly retired from Chrysler after 30 years of dedicated service. Rafik found joy in the simple things in life. He had a love for gardening and cook and took great pride in the things he grew and the meals he prepared for his family. He was a big Detroit Tigers fan, enjoyed watching wrestling on television, and played his lottery every day.
He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Mika, who brought him much happiness and companionship.
But above all else, family was everything to Rafik. He cherished his children and grandchildren and loved spending time with his siblings, extended family, and friends.
His greatest joy was being surrounded by the people he loved.
Rafik will always be remembered for the love he gave so freely and for the special place he held in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.

Instate will be held on Tuesday, September 1, from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Sharbel Maronite Church, 43888 Hayes Road, in Clinton Township, Michigan. He will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, in Clinton Township, Michigan.
