Raymond D. Price, age 74 of Warren, passed away on March 18, 2011 after a 9 year battle with cancer. He was born on August 8, 1936 in Detroit, the son of the late Raymond and the late Lucille (nee: Mitchell) Price. Raymond was a fun-loving guy who found his greatest joys through the people that surrounded his life. His affections for them all ran deep, and was especially noted by the terms of endearment each of them possessed through the unique nicknames he associated them by. Along with his esteemed care, he'll forever be renowned for the Big Teaser he was as well. It was all about the humor & laughter that he so enjoyed bringing to the lives of others,...just his way of sharing the lighter side of life amidst a heavy world. As for his personal enjoyment and favorite pastimes, Raymond found great delight in either exercizing his mind or going a few rounds with Lady Luck. Whether in the quiet times with a challenging crossword puzzle to solve, or the countless hours he enjoyed dabbling on the computer, Raymond's mind was always kept sharp. As for his luck quests, he managed to satisfy those urges through his jaunts to the casino and the ever-familiar scratch-off lottery tickets. Another of Raymond's passions was definitely found within a couple special members of the Price family, his two precious Yorkies, Rat & Schnitz. He was an adoring master of his two "furry friends" who provided him unending enjoyment. Yet, without a doubt, it was his beloved family and friends who brought him life's greatest joys and passions. His life was enriched by many, and many were touched by his insatiable verve for life. He leaves behind a legacy of love unmatched by any other and will be immensely missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife & best friend of 55 years, Bernice (nee: Wrubel). He is also adored by his children; Kim (Dennis) Victory, Tim (Margaret), Paul (Sandy), Michele (Paul) Schulte, and Craig (Sue). He shared a special bond with each of his 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who loved their Poppa dearly. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald (Ruth). Visitation for Raymond will be held on Sunday, March 20th from 3-9pm, with a 7pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). He will lie in state on Monday from 9:30am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00am at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Fraser, Michigan. Please share memories at Raymond's guest book.
