Rebecca Ann White

Rebecca Ann (Hawley) White, age 87, of Warren, MI passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2009. She was born April 29, 1921, in Detroit to Rebecca (Ireland) and Oliver Perry Hawley. Rebecca was the beloved wife of the late James B. White (1983) and is survived by her children Roxanne (Raymond) LaPuma, David (Maureen) White, and grandchildren Todd, Rebecca and Alex. Her great grand children are Elise and Ruby. She was loved by her nephew Tom and is greatly missed by her beloved pet Mikie. Rebecca married James B. White in The Post Chapel at Fort Wheeler, Macon, Georgia on October 24, 1942. She was employed and retired from the Warren Fitzgerald School District, after many years of service as an elementary school secretary. After retirement, Rebecca and James relocated to Farwell, MI, where they opened Whites Five and Dime Store. Rebecca returned to Warren, MI where she resided for the past 20 years, and during this time made friends at the Fitzgerald Recreational Center, that she treasured dearly, along with many special friendships that she made and cherished from Farwell, MI.
