

Richard T. Ladzinski, age 96, a Royal Oak resident since 1941, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Shelby Nursing Center in Shelby Township, Michigan. He was born on October 31, 1917 in Detroit, son of the late Anthony and the late Selma (nee: Sowinski) Ladzinski.With thanks & praise from a grateful nation, we honor Richard for his service to our country during World War II as part of the U.S. Army. With bravery and patriotism as his shield, he served valiantly and proudly for the country he loved. We extend our thanks for the sacrifices Richard made in helping to preserve the freedoms and liberties we enjoy today…because he was there!Following his service time, Richard held the position of Press Operator with Fabri Steel, a firm that he ultimately retired from after extending the utmost in dedicated and loyal service on the job.Richard was the beloved husband of the late Thelma Rose. Dear father of Gary (Nancy), Richard (Marianne), Patrick (Diane), the late Sally Webb, and the late Tommy Lee. He was also preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ladzinski. He leaves 8 grandchildren; Suzy (Dean) Rager, Sandy Stroud, Richard (Elissa) Ladzinski, Richard Kelly, Keith Ladzinski, Tammy (David) Knuth, Patrick Ladzinski, Ted (Monica) Ladzinski, as well as 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. Please share memories of Richard at his memory book.
