Robert was the loving husband of the late Aspasia “Pat” Buszczak and a devoted father to Dale Buszczak, Charlette “Charlie” Buszczak-Mikolowski (Glen), Annette Buszczak-Roznowski (Donovan), Barbara Akers (Gary), and Denise Blumenschein.
He was a proud and loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren, including Emilee Mikolowski and Madilyn Mikolowski, and a beloved great-grandfather of nine.
Robert is also survived by his sister-in-law, Karen Buszczak; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted and Connie Sarros, and their children, Phil Sarros and Sherry Sarros; his great-niece, Athena Sarros; and his longtime friend, Wayne Carpenter.
Throughout his life, Robert enjoyed trout fishing and hunting. He was also an avid artist who found great joy in painting and creating art. He and his beloved wife, Pat, shared a love of art and spent many years painting and working on art projects together. These were special moments they both enjoyed and treasured.
Robert was deeply involved in his church and had a strong love for the Lord. His faith was an important part of his life and remained a source of strength, comfort, and meaning throughout the years.
Above all, Robert was a loving father, a best friend, and someone whose presence meant so much to those fortunate enough to know him. He took great pride in staying youthful and embracing life fully until his final days. He was blessed with many friendships throughout his life and treasured the connections he made with people of all ages.
His faith, warmth, friendship, and love for his family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00–8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 3:00–8:00 p.m. at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren, Michigan.
A funeral service will take place Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
Robert will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Pat, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
