Rosalia Czertko

Rosalia Czertko, age 96 of Warren, died Saturday, July 11, 2020 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She was born December 28, 1923 in Poland, daughter of the late Hillary and Alexandra Walicki.

Rosalia was 26 years old when she emigrated to America. The year was 1949, and she came in the hopes of beginning a brand new life in the home of the free. As fate would have it, part of that brand new start involved meeting a wonderful man by the name of Michael with whom she would share their wedding vows and become husband & wife. They would share 50 years together prior to Michael's passing.

Rosalia was the beloved wife of the late Michael. Dear mother of Theresa Falasa, Gregory Czertko, and George Czertko. Loving grandmother of Kenny (Deborah) Falasa, Lisa (Tony) Petty, Michael (Jennifer) Falasa; great-grandmother of Sheldon (Hailey) Petty, Carter Petty and Vaughn Petty, McKinley Falasa, Elise Falasa, Adalynn Falasa; and great-great grandmother of Bentley Petty. Also surviving Rosalia is her "Posse," the longstanding group of friends with whom she shared many activities,...and cherished friendships together.

Visitaton for Rosalia will be held Monday, July 20, 2020, from 3-9 pm, with a funeral service at 7 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road) in Warren, Michigan.
