Rosann M. Novak, age 68 of Sterling Heights, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born on January 25, 1942 in Center Line, Michigan, the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Anna (nee: Reichenbach) Warner. For this loving & caring mother of 4, there is so much that tells the story of her life, but non-so-much as the immense joy she knew through the gift of her children. Every neighborhood seems to have that one "Mom" that everybody flocks to, and Rosann was that presence of familial care. She delighted in providing a loving environment for family & friends to gather, and everyone felt at home at Rosann's place. As time marched on, her love would only grow deeper & wider as her life took on even greater meaning through the lives of her 6 grandchildren. Always the doting Grandma, she adored her little cherubs from all that was within her. She loved every chance she got to babysit them, and was immensely involved in support of them as well. Whether it was school or sporting events, dance classes, or recitals, they could always count on Grandma being right by their side. A devoted Catholic and a woman whose faith was strong, Rosann knew the importance of family and poured her heart into making the moments & memories they shared lasting ones. Some of the fondest of those memories were woven around the times they shared at the family cottage on Lake Nepessing in Lapeer. Not only was it a haven of rest and one of Rosann's favorite places to escape, but it was also the center of a lot of fun and the perfect venue for the annual family reunion,...which her children reflect upon as one of the most special memories with Mom. On a reflective note, her children recall what a great cook Mom was. Whether for one or an army, she knew her way around food and there was never a hungry belly to leave Rosann's kitchen. She was also known for being quite the seamstress. With a needle & thread in hand, she could work her magic when it came to sewing, and some of her most notable creations were realized through the amazing halloween costumes she created over the years for her grandchildren. And, not only was she skilled in the art of sewing, but this prowess she possessed offered a peek into her more humorous side through her membership in the "Stitch & Bitch Club." (One can only imagine the fun she had in those meetings!) Adding to her eclectic array of interests, Rosann truly enjoyed tuning in to her favorite sporting events. The Lion's, Tiger's and Red Wings games afforded her countless hours of television fanfare. And there wasn't a Sunday missed, sitting around the TV with family, watching the NASCAR races. Now THAT was a sporting woman! But sports wasn't her only TV watching pleasure. She was also a devoted watcher of "Dancing With The Stars," soap opera's (which she recorded every day), and a huge fan of game shows. Plain & simple, Rosann was a "People Person." She enjoyed hangin' out as one of the senior groupies at Tim Horton's, and will always be remembered for hosting one of the biggest bashes of the year, the annual Super Bowl Party. With the utmost of unselfishness, she simply enjoyed watching others have fun. She loved to laugh and found great delight in bringing laughter & joy to the lives of others. She was always there for anyone, and was always willing to do whatever it took to meet another's needs. Rosann often volunteered her time, and never expected anything in return. The lives she touched are too many to count. Yet for those who knew the gift of her touch, they can count the blessings for the gift of Rosann in their lives. She will be missed immensely! Beloved wife of the late William, and formerly, Kenneth C. Jones. Dear mother of Patricia (Bryon) Dwyer, Joseph Jones, Janet (Mark) Hughes, and Paul (Cindi) Jones. Loving grandmother of Dakota, Mitchell, Martin, Jenna, Harley, and Presley. Sister of Shirley Pilarowski and Richard (Fran) Warner. Sister-in-law to Carol Warner. Predeceased by siblings; Anna Mae Christel, Marvin Warner, Gerald "Bing" Warner, Kathleen Juip, and Carolyn Warner. Also survived by several nieces & nephews, as well as many dear friends. Visitation for Rosann will be on Thursday, November 18th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Friday the 19th from 2:00pm to 9:00pm, with a 7pm Scripture Service on Thursday, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. She will lie in state on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of Mass at 10:00am at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 21201 Thirteen Mile Rd, St. Clair Shores, MI. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan. Memorial donations may be directed, in Rosann's name, to the church.
