Rose Contrera

Rose Contrera age 87, of Warren passed away peacefully Thursday, December 4, 2008 surrounded by her husband and children. Rose was born August 18, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Vito Naimo and the late Rosalia (nee: Amato) Naimo. Rose a devoted wife of 64 years is survived by husband Michael; She is the beloved mother to 3 daughters, Rosie (Dennis)Guastella, Theresa (Gary) Tedesco, and the late Grace Rinke and 2 sons, Mario Contrera, and William (Cheryl) Contrera; Son in-law James Rinke; 14 grandchildren, Renee Porter (Steve),Sheri Gibson (Thomas), Tom Rinke(Valerie), Tina Roy (Kevin), Michael Contrera(Amy),Mario Contrera (Sue), Natalie Jenzen (Adam), Vanessa, Janine (Anita), Rachele Guastella, Holly Clampitt(James), Christopher Contrera, Joseph, Lia Tedesco; 20 great-grandchildren: James, Alyssa, Katie Porter; Nicole, Megan Gibson; Marissa, Meredith, Michael, Molleigh Rinke; Nikolas, Lauren, Gabrielle Roy; Anthony,Mario, Vanessa Contrera, Alexa, Joshua Clampitt; Morgan, Ariana, and Abram; 2 sisters, Petrina (Naimo) Riccobono, Mary (Naimo) Oliveto; sister-in-laws, Mary(Candella)Naimo, Lucy (Contrera) Tarbuk, Mary (Contrera) Rendberg, Philly(Contrera) Presti, Joanne Contrera; Roses life was centered around La Familia. Nothing made her happier than preparing and sharing Sunday dinner for her family. She loved life and the Lord. Visitation for Rose will be held Sunday 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). The Funeral Service will be Monday at the funeral home at 10:00 am with the Rev. Pastor Jerry Weinzierl officiating. Interment will be held at 2:30 pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Please share memories of Rose at her guest book.
