We just got back in town and heard the news about Rose.  She was such a lovely lady, and I treasured her friendship.  She was gracious enough to let me and others share her home and get away from the workplace.  Today I thought back to the many talks and laughter we shared.  I will always remember her and cherish the time we once shared.

Aunt Rosie was my Godmother and a special aunt to me.  I have many fond memories of her throughout my lifetime.  She was a kind, caring, loving person to all that knew her.  She was the rock of the Jankowski family.  When Tommy & Jerry lost both of their parents to God’s kingdom, she kept in touch with them and made sure that their holidays were spent with family.  When my mother and father (Mary & Bob) moved from Warren to White Lake.  She became my brother’s Rob’s other mother.   He confided in her and she kept her door always open to him, like he was one of her sons.   She was always there for the people she loved and will be greatly missed by all the people that she came in contact with throughout her life.  May Aunt Rosie reunite with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Archie (her spouse), (her sister and my mom) Mary, (her brothers) Uncle Phil and Uncle Jerry and all the extended family members and friends that await her arrival in heaven.  I love her with all my heart and miss her greatly.

My favorite Aunt, you are loved beyond words. The memories I have of you are numerous! From a little girl I remember always being at your house on Simms having fun with my cousins, to spending weeks at the cottage with you, and you coming to my home many years on Christmas day to see your brother. 

You were always the family historian and I loved hearing all the stories from the past. Family was everything to you and you always had a open door policy for everyone. You were generous, loving and giving and are loved beyond measure. I will forever treasure you as an Aunt. 

Your family will be lost without you, but we know your in a better place now with your husband, parents and siblings. I can picture you laughing and catching up on the gossip with everyone. When I think of you Aunt Rosie, I always picture you laughing, smiling, and being so kind to everyone and making everyone you met feel like family. I love you beyond words. You were a wonderful example to your family of what love is.

My mom, Janie, and Rosie spent many hours sitting on one porch or the other with a cup of coffee watching us play.  She was a great friend to my mom and we all loved her.  Rosie - say hi to mom and enjoy that coffee!
