It is with deep love and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of Rosemary (née Markusic) Alampi, affectionately known to those closest to her as Sug. Born the youngest child of Fred and Annie Markusic, Rosemary lived a life marked by style, humor, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carmen Alampi; and her siblings Katherine (Adam) Strizich, Fred "Rock" (Marie) Markus, Janet (Richard) Learmont, and Carl (Carol) Markus.
Rosemary is survived by her loving sons: David (Mary Ellen) Alampi, Dwayne (Jeronima) Alampi, and Gary (Mary) Alampi. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Emily (Chris Proch) Alampi, Molly (Matt Penridge) Alampi, Neil Alampi, Scott (Myrna Medina Mares) Alampi, Steve Alampi, Dominic Alampi, and Anthony Alampi. She also leaves behind her cherished feline companion, Annie.
An intelligent and independent woman, Rosemary had a lifelong love of art, singing, travel, and theater. She was known for her quick wit, warm heart, and unmatched hospitality—hosting unforgettable family gatherings, creating whimsical birthday cakes, and cultivating a legendary collection of personal-use cameras.
Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy of creativity, laughter, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her.
A Memorial Visitation for Rosemary will be held on Saturday, May 17th from 2-6pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI.
