Roy William Dixon

Passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026, at the age of 95. Roy was born on November 27, 1930, in Sarnia, Canada, to his late parents, George William Dixon and Evelyn Mary (née Fisher) Dixon.

Roy was the beloved husband of the late Nancy (née Haight) Dixon, with whom he shared more than 65 wonderful years of marriage. He was a loving father to Brian Dixon, Linda Monaco, Larry (Lisa) Dixon, John (Christine) Dixon, and the late Gerald and Donald Dixon. Roy was also a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather to many, whose lives he touched with his love, wisdom, and presence.

A proud graduate of Wayne State University, Roy built a long and successful career as a Certified Public Accountant. His dedication to his profession was evident throughout the years, as he continued working in his field until just a year ago.

Outside of work, Roy enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching the Detroit Tigers, Michigan football, the Detroit Lions, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He also had a wonderful sense of adventure and loved to travel. Roy was known to pack a bag, set off on an extended vacation, and be gone for a month at a time, enjoying the opportunity to explore new places and experiences.

Roy will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the countless memories he created with those closest to him.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093. Interment will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township, Michigan.
