Sandra Alice Piekarski

Sandra A. Piekarski, age 71 of Warren, died April 1, 2012 at Henry Ford Hospital. Sandra was born May 30, 1940, in Gering, Nebraska the daughter of the late Daniel and the late Mollie (nee: Gettman) Lehl. After Sandra graduated from Scottsbluff High School in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, she moved to Colorado to attend secretarial school. It was here that she meet the love of her life Ken, who was serving in the U.S. Air Force in Colorado. They fell in love and got married in 1961. Shortly after there marriage they moved to Michigan where Sandra and Ken raised a family. She not only loved raising her children, but also enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting hangers which she loved to give out as gifts to her family and friends. Sandra was most famous for her homade angle wings which she loved to make and give as Christmas gifts. Sandra was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth. She was a loving Mother of Jeffrey, Kathie and the late Gregory and Kristie. She is survived by her sister JeanAnn Votruba of Scottsbluff, NE. She was also a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Sandra will be Wednesday 5-9 p.m. at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ' Mile Road). She will lie in-State Thursday 11:30 a.m. at White Chapel Cemetery until the time of the Funeral Service at 12 p.m. Please share memories of Sandra at her guestbook.
