Shailesh Patel

Shailesh was the beloved husband of Daksha Patel, with whom he shared a loving marriage that began on May 18, 1988. Together they built a beautiful life centered on family and unwavering support for one another. He was a proud and devoted father to Tajesh Patel and Neil Patel, whose accomplishments and happiness brought him immense pride and joy. He was also a cherished father-in-law to Raashi Khanna and a warm, loving presence in her life.

Born on February 6, 1962, in Baroda, Gujarat, India, Shailesh was the cherished son of the late Ishverbhai and Sardaba Patel. From an early age, he valued education, perseverance, and hard work. Those qualities led him to pursue higher education in the United States, where he earned his master's degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. He went on to enjoy a distinguished career as an engineer with General Motors, where he took great pride in his work and the many years he dedicated to the company. His intelligence, integrity, and strong work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

Outside of his career, Shailesh found his greatest happiness in spending time with those he loved. He enjoyed traveling and discovering new places, whether exploring distant destinations or taking in the simple pleasures of everyday life. He was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a game and loved sharing those moments with family and friends. Above all, Shailesh treasured the time he spent with his family, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. His gentle nature, steady guidance, quiet strength, and generous heart will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Shailesh's love, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer with us in person, his spirit will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the memories he helped create.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093.
