Sherryl Francis Osim, age 62, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Munson Healthcare Facility in Grayling, Michigan. She was born July 20, 1953 in Detroit, daughter of Marcella (nee: Sparagowski) and the late Leonard Lamb.Born in Detroit, she and her family made the eventual move to the next city north, the new & burgeoning bedroom community of Warren. It is there that Sherryl attended and graduated from Warren Woods High School as part of the Class of 1971. Following this rite of passage, she ultimately landed a position as a clerk with the Secretary of State's office. It was such a perfect fit that Sherryl made it her home away from home, and is where she worked her entire career. In the middle of it all, something wonderfully life-changing happened to Sherryl when she met the man who would sweep her off her feet, the dashing Michael Osim. After some time of building and nurturing the relationship between them, Sherryl & Michael took that romantic leap into the throes of marriage and became husband & wife on December 7, 1997. Together, they shared 19 glorious years of building a home, raising a family, and growing deeper in love with each passing day. When not at work or attending to the needs of family, one of Sherryl's favorite pastimes was getting her hands dirty while tending to her precious flower garden. She poured the utmost of TLC into her beautiful flowers, and it was evident to all who were blessed to partake of her handiwork. Another favorite pastime, again with the work of her hands, came in the form of crafting which afforded her a venue for the creative genius that lie beneath the surface. And for all who truly knew this great lady, they'll be able to attest to her penchant for shopping. She loved to shop and seek out those amazing deals,…and buys, of course.Yet of all that brought her joy and pleasure, little could match the bliss and elation she experienced in living up north on the canal. Just being up north ANYWHERE in Michigan would be cause for celebration, but she was blessed to be near the water where she was able to enjoy a bit of wet'n'wild fun in the Mitten. She never got tired of boating on Houghton Lake, nor sharing in the fun that always accompanied the many boating memories that were made. She also found great joy in the many deer she spotted in the areas adjacent to her home. A deer in the field amidst the vast greenery,…that's Pure Michigan! To those that knew her well, Sherryl was determined in any task she engaged. She was always attentive and supportive to the needs of others, and emanated a warmhearted compassion that touched the hearts and souls of all with whom she met. She leaves behind a storehouse of wonderful memories for all to draw upon with each reflection embraced. She'll be missed immensely and loved eternally. Sherryl was the beloved wife of Michael Osim, and the loving mother of Nicole (Michael) Jaeger and Cristian Cooper. Cherished daughter of Marcella and the late Leonard Lamb. She is also survived by brother Richard Lamb, as well as many other loving family members.
